Application
These compact filters are generally fabricated to user specifications.

Duplex filter design permits change-over from one filter element to the other without any interruption in flow. These units are ideally suited for applications where the filter elements must be cleaned or replaced without interrupting the process stream.

Features
Design and manufacture of all filters comply with the codes and practices adopted by the pressure vessel industry.

Change-over – (Duplex Filters)
Dual-stage three-way ball valve in one common steel block, balls made of stainless steel, seals of PTFE, or two combined three-way ball valves, balls made of stainless steel, PTFE seals.

Filter elements
Various filter elements are available depending on the application and degree of filtration required:
     -PP / PVC Disc type strainers
     -Basket Strainers - made of steel or stainless steel.
     -Cartridge Elements - containing one or more disposal fabric cartridges or non-metal cartridges
      (PP / PE, etc) of the same dimensions, arranged in parallel.

The disposable elements have a radial seal with bearing ring: the design improves the sealing of the cartridge as the differential pressure increases.

The cartridges cannot be mixed up during installation as a blocking feature prevents them from being positioned incorrectly.

In order to reduce the waste disposal problems of these elements, the cartridge support body, which is resistant to differential pressure, is retained as a component of the filter internals. Merely the dirty filter element with the plastic end plates has to be disposed of, eliminating the need to dispose of expensive steel-sheet components.

Operation
Duplex filters can be cleaned without interrupting operation. Using the low-friction ball valve change-over feature, operation is changed over to the standby filter chamber without jarring. At the same time, the contaminated chamber is switched off. The change-over lever is always on the filter chamber which is in operation. The other filter half is on standby, cleaned and filled.
